Valve has gone ahead and hit us all with tons of updates this week to a few titles. In fact, the updates have been coming so often, it made even more sense than ever to roundup all of the updates and link them here for our fellow Gamers. Let’s get straight to it.
First and foremost, All of the player and weapon animations have changed in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Yep. ALL of them. This isn’t just cosmetics we’re talking about here, either. The actual hit-boxes themselves have been improved and shaped off in a much more true-to-life fashion. Gone are the days of the clunky, square hit-boxes that leads to some truly visually ugly gameplay. Say hello to a new, better looking, smoother playing game. Full details here.
As could have been expected with the rollout of Reborn, Dota 2 has seen an absolute TON of updates once more. It seemed as if every day brought us another new Dota update. So many, we could’ve changed the name of the site to “Dota 2” First for the week! I’ll not waste anymore of your time with bad jokes, heres the list of updates, listed in chronological order by the day of the update: The 14th, The 15th (A), The 15th (B), The 16th, The 17th, The 18th (A) and (pushed WHILE writing this article!) The 18th (B). Whew. Just go read the links, already! There is HUGE stuff going on there. Can you say “Source 2 Dota Workshop Item Tools“?
Smaller updates you ask? Day of Defeat: Source, Counter-Strike: Source and Half-Life 2: Deathmatch all also received small, patch-like updates. Mainly fixing some security issues, code, etc. (Scant) details available here. Also, some of you may have noticed, the Steam Mobile Site (not the app, just the site) appears in a new “Beta” mode and is running a lot better, at least for this user. As always, feel free to leave your own feedback below.
Finally, as of the time this gets posted we have not yet selected our winner and you may have a chance to get in before that window officially closes for good. There will be more opportunities coming up, but for now…..GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO!
If you’re still here….well, leave a comment below or drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org. Add me on Steam. Maybe we can play a game sometime. Also, I have a nasty habit of sending free steam keys to everyone I know on my Friends List. I’m looking forward to hearing from you sometime, fellow Gamers.
