steam-ces-2014

Last night was a big night for Valve at CES. We all knew it was coming, but were excited anyway to see the collection of Steam Boxes on display. Valve has just released a PDF with all of the machines with their details. This file is linked here. At this point in time, the companies creating the machines include Alienware, Alternate, CyberPowerPC, Digital Storm, Falcon NW, GigaByte, iBuyPower, Maingear, Material.net, Next Spa, Origin PC, Scan, Webhallen, and Zotac. At this point in time, after having a discussion with my team members, we are in agreement that the Alienware Steam machine takes the cake this far. Demos and testing can always make us change our minds of course.

Below is a gallery of all of the announced machines followed by the specs of each in detail. Be sure to let us know which is your favorite and if you plan on picking one up.

  1. Unrealistically, I want Tiki or Bolt II. I will likely buy a iBuyPower model because it’s closer to my price range. 🙂
