Today Valve released notes for a new Steam Client Beta update, and this one is a real nice one too. With the support of SteamVR (also in beta), you can now access the steam dashboard through your VR headset.

“The Dashboard is currently pretty basic,” writes Valve employee, Christen. “You’ll see more features introduced as we develop them over the course of the coming weeks. Our goals for the Dashboard are to provide users with easy access to both system-level features and contextually-relevant content while in VR. And because this whole thing runs on a PC, we want to create a space where any software can be accessed while in VR. The Dashboard makes this possible with Overlays, the applications it hosts. ”

Be on the lookout for this update soon.
