Valve, in a rather interesting move, began offering it’s first full length, feature Hollywood film today. All four of the “Mad Max” films have been made available for purchase via Steam, headlined by the recent blockbuster “Mad Max: Fury Road“.  The movies are being released along with the brand new Mad Max PC Game ($59.99), which was just released yesterday. The film and the game can be purchased together in a nifty little package directly through Steam.

“Mad Max: Fury Road” is available for $19.99 via the Store Page. You can also purchase the movie with the game in a bundle at a slightly saving you $8. If you really feel like getting immersed in the Post-Apocalyptic mayhem of Mad Max, you can get the full bundle (All four movies and the game) for  $106.20. With 4 movies and an Open-World action game to play around in, that could wind up being quite a bargain!

Each of the first three Mad Max movies are also available, with the original 1979 classic (as of this writing) only available with the purchase of the full bundle. The Store Page for the Second and Third movies in the series are available at their respective pages for $14.99 each.

This gamer wonders whether this is just a tie in for the brand new game designed to generate a little more buzz or if it is a sign of things to come in the future? If so, what would that be? Steam already has a handful of movies available, but this will be the first major release made available via the massively popular gaming service. Will they be bringing more mainstream, Hollywood-type movies to Steam? Will they limit it to movies that have video game tie-ins? What are your thoughts on the subject? • It’s actually a pretty decent movie. I expected it to be pretty horrible, actually, but was pleasantly surprised!
