For those of you who are new to the world of Steam, I would like to introduce you to Humble Bundle. Humble Bundle is a discount site that offers weekly deals on “bundles” of games at unbeatable prices. These titles are most often games which are redeemable on your Steam client. There are two ways to purchase these titles. First, you can spend one dollar and get the first bundle which usually consists of 4ish titles. If you decide that you want the extended bundle, you can beat the average, which is often paying about six bucks. When you beat the average, you get all of the original bundle items as well as unlocking and getting the extended bundle titles as well. Either way you look at it, you are receiving a nice bundle of games at an unbeatable price.

I forgot to mention the most important part… A percentage of the proceeds from the sale (the percentage is chosen by you via a slider mechanism) is donated to charity.

This week, Humble Bundle is offering a bundle of titles from Amanita Design. The titles which are included in the bundle are listed below along with a video preview of each title.

Samorost 2

Samorost 2, the sequel to the free browser-based game Samorost 1, is a point-and-click adventure in which you must help out a little space gnome as he searches for his dog that was mercilessly kidnapped by aliens. Albeit short, this game is chock-full of adventure and surprising creatures. Samorost 2 is a relaxing and peaceful game with an intuitive gameplay system that is accessible even for non-experienced players.

In the point-and-click adventure game Machinarium, players guide a heroic little robot on his quest to save his friends from a trio of bullies in a dilapidated machine city. Machinarium won the Independent Games Festival’s (IGF) Excellence in Visual Art Award in 2009 for its incredibly detailed environments and unique personalities of the many characters inhabiting the city.

With a set built entirely out of paper and cardboard and sumptuously filmed, Lume is a game with a style unlike any other. Immerse yourself in Lume’s photoreal world, solve perplexing paper puzzles to help restore power to your grandfather’s house and uncover a deeper mystery behind the blackout.

Explore a dream-like world of impossible wonders with ten different immersive, animated environments. Interact with dozens of physics-based creatures and objects while solving brain-tickling puzzles to unlock new rooms and reveal new surprises!

If you pay $6 or more you will unlock these two titles:

Experience the dangers of the wild as a mother badger sheltering her cubs from harm. On a perilous journey to find a home, this badger family faces it all – being stalked by a bird of prey, encountering the perils of the night, river-rapid crossings, forest fires and the looming threat of death by starvation. There is food to be found, but is there enough for everyone?

You’ll also receive Shelter‘s storybook adaptation of the game, The Circle, which portrays the life of the badger family with the beautifully created paper graphics of the game itself.

In Botanicula, you must guide a motley band of tree creatures in a journey to save their home from brooding, spider-like invaders. With a huge cast of charming characters, Botanicula is the latest and greatest example of Amanita Design’s unique storybook vision brought to vivid fruition in a point-and-click adventure game.

*Includes Artbook and Maps featuring the beautiful art style of Botanicula from Amanita Design.
