Well, friends, lovers, and folks who would rather take a cheese grater to the eyes instead of reading something that I have produced ever again, it is time for me to depart Steam First. While I have absolutely loved my time here and have nothing but good things to say about this site, I am moving to another outlet. While I don’t feel it is fair for me to advertise my destination on this, a competitor’s platform, I will say it’s for gamers, and its center is very solid. If Eric, the illustrious site owner or Kevin, the manager, decides they want to add it, they can.

As for why I am leaving: those of you who follow this site and have read some of my pieces might realize that I love gaming in all of its forms, from Steam to Sony to Nintendo. I have been provided an opportunity to cover more things for an outlet that I have followed for years. It was simply too great a chance for me to pass up.

That is not to say that I dislike Steam First or regret my time here. Working here has opened my eyes to whole new facets to gaming, my obsession. My tenure here was blessed with creative freedom, room to move up, and more Steam games than I could ever handle. For one whose unending goal is to play all the games, I simply could not have been happier. Without giving any other plans away, I will remain a friend to the site and hope to make guest appearances from time to time in…places.

So, I hear that there is a position open here now. For those of you celebrating my departure, I invite you to go even one better. Take my spot! This is a fantastic place to call home and one that I hope you will consider. If you want the details, go here.

In the meantime, I wish all of you the best. Should you find me elsewhere, drop me a note. No matter what, though, live your life well and keep gaming.

Sincerely,

Jason Bohn (Not the golfer.)

After being bitten by a radioactive chimney sweep, J.M. Bohn and his trusted friend, Baron Stacheforth, took to the streets to reenact Mediatonic’s Foul Play. (No theater would have them.) The results were…less than ideal. His current whereabouts are unknown to keep his loved ones safe. Love/hate mail can be sent to jasonmbohn@gmail,com.
